About six minutes after my infant son landed in my arms at the hospital eight years ago, I decided I was going to need a few more parenting tools in my back pocket. And when my passionate, clever, strong-willed daughter came catapulting into the world two years later, I decided I needed a well-stocked garage of tools. And I don’t even own a garage. Thankfully, today I benefit from the wise guidance and teaching of DeAnna Wahlheim. A licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, DeAnna specializes in the treatment of children with early childhood trauma, attachment and bonding issues. Her methods provide invaluable assistance for parents like me, who want to avoid repeating past patterns and hope to provide a better example than they received. In other words, the information and tools she brings to the table are like adding a pneumatic, fully automatic Bosch laser level and a 4500-watt gas powered portable generator to my toolkit, when all I had before was needle-nose pliers and a wrench. She empowers parents to be the very best that they can be.
Another reason I believe strongly in DeAnna’s family-building work is because in my own work as financial and career coach, I see such a close tie between deep family issues and the areas of finances and life direction. I believe DeAnna gets results in her counseling and training because she is passionate about early childhood development and issues affecting families today.
DeAnna is offering classes on Parenting with Integrity this month. She will also be recording the sessions, so that you can purchase and listen at your own convenience. Contact DeAnna at (480) 213-6058 and check out her website, http://phoenixparentconsulting.com/.
